


“DREAM to ACHIEVE” SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
The primary mission of the A. C. E. Foundation (formally known as the Mansfield Cedar-Hill Kappa Foundation) is to provide programs and scholarships that benefit African American youth in the DFW Metroplex area and surrounding communities. As Kappa Men, it is our goal to further achievement by enabling deserving students to fulfill their educational goals (DREAMS), thus giving them the tools to maximize their potential. Guided by the fundamental purpose of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., the Mansfield Cedar Hill Alumni Chapter, through its Foundation, will continue to encourage and promote “Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor” within our community.
The A. C. E. Foundation will award multiple scholarships to local area graduating high school seniors who will be pursuing a degree or certification from an accredited college/university.
The deadline to submit the scholarship application for consideration is Thursday, May 15, 2025 at midnight (no exceptions). Please refer to the criteria below for eligibility requirements, as well as a list of documents required for submittal. Incomplete or illegible applications will not be considered.
Note: Scholarship funds will be awarded to applicants upon evidence of registration in an accredited college/university or Trade School, and the funds will be dispersed at half of the amount awarded per each semester of the students first year.
- Scholarship Resume (typed): The resume should contain a brief explanation of:

- Awards & Honors
- Leadership
- Community Service
- Activities / Clubs
- References
- Scholarship Application: MUST be completed and submitted by the applicant.
- Student Essay: Students must select one of the three questions below to respond to with (no less than 250 words; typed, double spaced):
What have you done to give back to your community?
What does Achievement mean to you? Give an example of an achievement in your life. .
What are your ten-year goals in life and how those pursuits will help make your community a better place?
- A Recent Official High School Transcript: Listing cumulative grade point average (3.0 or better) and class ranking.
